Our Story

Tori spotted Kam from across the room at a dorm nail party at WWU and immediately thought, "There's no way that jock is here to paint nails, and there's definitely no way she'd want to be my friend." She was wrong on both counts.

After graduation, Kam kept finding herself at Tori's West Seattle apartment. Neither of them was out yet, but something had clearly shifted. In March, they came out to each other—and no one else. A month of butterflies, nerves, and 'what are we?' followed. Their friend Erika saw right through their hesitation. Then in the early hours of April 2nd, sitting in the backseat of Erika's car, she officially pronounced them girlfriends. And since she made them girlfriends, she'll be the one to make them wives as their officiant.

Two months after becoming official, they adopted Mika, a Siberian husky who has been running the household ever since. Those first few years were spent bouncing between houses full of roommates, saving money and dreaming about the future. Then in 2021, in the middle of a global pandemic, they bought a condo in Renton and made it their own. From a crowded house with six roommates to their own little place in Fairwood, they've built a life together. Summer camping trips with their best friends. Dancing the night away with their girls. And their favorite moments of all: morning coffee and Wordle on the couch, snuggled up with Mika.

On the beaches of the Olympic Peninsula exactly ten years after that night in the backseat of Erika's car, Kam and Tori will stand before their favorite people and make their inevitable love official. We can't wait to celebrate with you.
